As I am writing this from the ship terminal in Cyprus, I am looking back on Italy, Greece, and Cyprus; while looking forward to our next port of Croatia.

Unfortunately, with the ever-changing COVID-19 situation and the laws of each country, our voyage had to change (for the 4th time). I will no longer be able to visit Morocco (where I was going to do a camel trek) and Ireland. Instead, we will spend a few more days in Portugal and Spain, and now visiting Copenhagen, Denmark; SAS’ Update Post.

ITALY — Starting off in Naples, I explored the city for the entire day (and got 17,000 steps in) and then grouped up with some fellow Voyagers to visit Pompeii the next day. In Italy, I was greeted by amazing cuisine and fascinating architecture and history.

Highlights: National Archaeological Museum, Pompeii, & my first European sunset (at the Castel Sant’Elmo).
